Job Summary
A GRP Laminator responsible for manufacturing and finishing fibreglass and composite products using hand lay-up and lamination techniques. The role involves working with resins, fibreglass matting, moulds and composite materials to produce high quality components for industries such as building and construction products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare moulds and surfaces for lamination process
- Measure, cut and apply fibreglass matting, cloth and other reinforcement materials
- Mix and apply resins, catalysts and gel coats according to specifications
- Trim, sand and finish laminated products to required standards
- Inspect completed components for defects and quality compliance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, job sheets and specifications
- Work collaboratively with production teams and supervisors to meet deadlines
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in GRP/Fibreglass lamination or composite manufacturing (preferred but training can be given)
- Knowledge of fibreglass materials, resins, catalysts and lamination techniques (preferred but training can be provided)
- Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good manual dexterity and physical fitness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hours
40 hours per week. 2.30 pm finish on Fridays
Overtime available where needed
