Practice Nurse – Bexley | Up to £50,000 FTE
We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated PracticeNurse to join a friendly and supportive GP practice in Bexley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse looking for a stable, rewarding role within a well-established primary care team. The practice places a strong emphasis on high-quality patient care, staff wellbeing and professional development, with a supportive clinical team around you.
Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
About the Role
As a Practice Nurse, you will provide a broad range of treatment room and chronic disease management services to the practice population.
You will work closely with GPs, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality Practice Nursing services
- Chronic disease management and reviews
- Diabetes, asthma and COPD reviews
- Hypertension and cardiovascular disease management
- Health checks and preventative healthcare
- Childhood and adult immunisations
- Cervical screening
- Wound care and dressings
- ECGs and routine observations
- New patient health checks
- NHS health checks
- Lifestyle advice and health promotion
- Supporting patients with long-term conditions
- Clinical assessment and appropriate escalation of concerns
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Supporting clinical audits and practice development
- Working effectively as part of the wider primary care team
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and clinically confidentPracticeNurse who is able to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Previous Practice Nurse or primary care experience
- Experience in chronic disease management
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Desirable:
- Cervical cytology qualification
- Immunisation and vaccination experience
- Experience with asthma and COPD
- Experience with diabetes management
- Experience using primary care clinical systems
