HGV Class 1 Driver - Walking Floor Trailer
- You will be responsible for the safe and timely operation of one of our HGV's pulling a walking floor trailer. Delivering a variety of biomass woodchip, forest residue, mixed recycling and waste produce. This is currently a role which requires nights out Monday - Thursday and home on a Friday, though this can be subject to change and day work may be available.
General duties include but not limited to:
- Performing routine vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and working regulations.
- Drive in a safe and courteous manner.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is received and completed accurately. Such as weight tickets and delivery notes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Maintaining your wagon to a clean and presentable standard.
Requirements:
- Valid, up to date Licence, CPC & Digi cards.
- No more than 6 points, with no major violations or accidents.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.
- Previous Class 1 experience would be preferable.
- Previous experience of walking floor preferable but not essential as training can be provided.
- At present this is a role requiring Nights out Monday through Thursday, being home on a Friday. However this can be subject to change. Can be discussed further.
