Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to individuals in a care home setting. Your role will involve supervising daily activities, creating care plans, and ensuring the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Create and implement care plans based on individual needs
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care or a related field is essential, and an appropriate qualification.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide others
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proficient in using IT systems for documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
