Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, be well-organised, and demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving practices. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food efficiently and courteously to customers
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and monitoring guest behaviour
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote special offers or events
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of each shift
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including hygiene standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in bar / hospitality environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong serving skills with a friendly, professional manner
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Personal presentation that reflects a professional image of the establishment
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
