Job Description
Job Overview: To join a rapidly expanding engineering firm based in Cumbernauld and be part of a motivated team manufacturing Control Panels and component assembly for static pressure washers in addition developing skills to be totally flexible within the company.
Report to: Production Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build electrical control panels whilst following the relevant schematic wiring diagrams, general arrangements and bills of material.
- Component assembly and final fit into finished product.
- Liaise with the design team, test engineers and stock team.
- Establish quality production by following industry standards, procedures, established methods of construction and installation using the appropriate tools.
- Use of hand tools such as cable crimpers, strippers, cutters, vice work, sockets…
- General workshop duties, booking in of stock...
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- To be communicative between Team Leaders.
- Ability to organize and priorities workloads.
- Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.Key Attributes:
- Experience in working in a modern warehouse environment would be advantageous.
- Numerate and literate.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills.
- Quick learner and ability to use your own initiative.
- Work under pressure paying attention to detail.
- Flexible, organized and methodical.
- Ability to organize and priorities workloads.
Other requirements:
- Enthusiastic.
- Driving license preferable.
- Practical approach.
- To undertake duties including lifting and carrying weights up to circa 25kg.
- Smart clean appearance.
- Work overtime as and when reasonably requested.
