Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative / Reserve Driver to join our expanding group. Due to the physical nature of everyday duties, the applicant must be fit and able to carry out various duties.
This role involves supporting warehouse operations, picking and packing orders, restock shelves with new stock and providing a delivery service when required. The ideal candidate will possess relevant warehouse experience, full UK driving licence ( must be at least 25 years of age due to the companies vehicle insurance, knowledge within the fixing/building industry would be helpful but not essential. Full training will be given.
Responsibilities
- Assist with stock organisation, stocking shelves, and maintaining correct stock levels.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely to handle materials and goods.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of goods in line with health and safety regulations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for deliveries and book new stock in.
- Load and unload deliveries from lorries, ensuring items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance, cleanliness, organisation, and safety checks.
- Delivering or collecting orders as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including stock management and materials handling - but full training will be given.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
- Organisational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, and inventory control.
- Reliable driver with a full UK driving licence; previous experience as a reserve driver is preferred but not mandatory.
Pay: £28,500.00 per year
