We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Fitters Mate / Labourer to join our growing glass partition installation team.
The role will involve working alongside an experienced glass fitter installing internal glass partitions, glass doors and associated glazing systems across commercial and residential projects throughout London and surrounding areas.
The Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Assisting the lead fitter with glass partition installations
- Helping to safely carry and position large glass panels
- Installing and preparing aluminium channels and framework
- Using hand and power tools
- Drilling and preparing fixing points
- Applying silicone and helping with finishing work
- Loading and unloading glass, tools and materials
- Keeping the work area clean and organised
- Protecting customers’ floors, walls and surrounding finishes
- Following site and health & safety procedures
- Travelling to different sites across London and surrounding areas
What We’re Looking For
You do not need to be an experienced glass fitter, but previous construction, glazing, carpentry, partitioning or labouring experience would be an advantage.
You must be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking with a good attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable handling heavy glass
- Careful and respectful when working in finished properties
- Willing to learn the glass installation trade
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Able to work well as part of a two-person installation team
- Flexible with start and finish times depending on the job

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
