About the Role
Good Vibes Event Co is looking for reliable, enthusiastic and professional DJs to join our small business.
You’ll be responsible for providing music and entertainment at a range of different events, including birthdays, weddings, corporate events, private parties and other celebrations.
This is a flexible opportunity, ideal for those who are free on weekends and looking to earn some extra money.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and pack down DJ equipment
- Read the crowd and select appropriate music throughout the event as well as being confident using a microphone to make the occasional announcement
- Take reasonable song requests from clients and guests
- Maintain a professional and friendly approach with customers
- Work to event timings and schedules
- Carry out basic checks of audio, lighting and DJ equipment
- Ensure equipment is treated carefully and the venue is left tidy after the event
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous DJ experience
- Confident performing in front of an audience
- Good knowledge of a wide range of music
- Professional, reliable and punctual
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to work weekends and some weekdays
- Comfortable setting up and operating DJ equipment

The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, confident, professional and genuinely enjoys creating a great atmosphere.
You don’t need to be a club DJ. Our events are primarily private and corporate functions, so the ability to read the room, interact professionally with guests and play music that suits the audience is more important than flashy mixing.
