Foundation Sports have been established over ten years and are currently recruiting casual coaching staff to deliver sports coaching sessions across Enfield, Barnet & Hackney.
Reporting Structure
The job holder will be accountable to the head coach of the area, then to the Regional Manager.
Payment
Payment is £25-£35 per hour dependent on coaching qualifications and experience, and on submission of an approved timesheet.
Job Purpose
- To ensure the sessions being delivered are safe, fun and informative.
- To be approachable and interact with parents and teachers.
- To be the schools point of contact for register and queries on coaching days.
- Liaising with school office with regards to permissions slips and monies.
- Communicating with assisting coach with regards to the session.
- The job holder will have responsibility for preparing and executing coaching sessions to children of varying ages, level and ability at designated locations (schools), and work as part of a team with other Foundation Sports coaches. The lead coach is to liaise with the assisting coach about the delivery of the session. A lead coach is also responsible for communicating with various members of school staff and parents. The lead coach is expected to take a register and handle monies.
Sessions include one or more of the following (times could vary):
- After School Dance clubs 3.30pm – 4.30pm

- To deliver good quality planned coaching sessions in line with Foundation Sports instructions.
- To be child focused and a good role model for children and the company.
- To put the welfare of the players first and report any concerns, complaints or issues.
- Duties
- To prepare, execute and complete coaching activities in line with Foundation Sports curriculum and in a professional manner.
- Report any issues, concerns or allegations to the Head Coach.
- Work with fellow Foundation Sports colleagues
- To be aware of all emergency procedures
- Attend Foundation Sports meetings and coaching seminars when necessary
- Conform to FA or equivalent guidelines
Qualifications and SkillsThe job holder will commit and conform to Foundation Sports procedures. Foundation Sports Coaches Guidelines, Code of Conduct, Child Protection Procedures and follow our coaching curriculum.
This position is subject to a DBS Disclosure at Enhanced Level. Drivers licence is required.
