Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender or Assistant manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests enjoy their experience. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging with patrons in a lively environment. Previous bar experience is required. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic setting while contributing to the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver drinks promptly
- Ensure all drinks are served safely, adhering to food safety regulations and responsible service guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Manage stock levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with inventory control
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Engage with guests to create a friendly atmosphere and promote ongoing patron satisfaction
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
Skills
- Proven bar experience
- Alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with customers and team members
- Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards guest service
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation and beverage presentation is an advantage but not essential
