Job Summary
Woodside Grange Care Home is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Gardener/Handyman/woman, with the main focus on gardening and grounds maintenance.
You will take pride in keeping our outdoor spaces safe, tidy and welcoming for residents, families and staff.
As part of the role, you will also be required to work 2-3 hours per week at the owners private home, carrying out gardening and small maintenance tasks. A full driving license is essential for travel between sites.
During winter months or poor weather, you will support indoor maintenance tasks with the care home.
KEY REPSONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibility for all gardening and grounds maintenance at Woodside Grange Care Home
Lawn care, planting, pruning, weeding, hedge trimming and seasonal garden upkeep
Keeping outdoor areas safe, tidy and enjoyable for residents
Off-site gardening and maintenance at the owners private home 2-3 hours per week
Year round garden planning, bed preparation, plant care, and pathway upkeep
Winter and had weather duties, focusing on indoor maintenance when outdoor work is not possible
Small indoor tasks such as painting, basic repairs, and general upkeep
Working independently while also supporting the maintenance team when needed
Pay: From £13.25 per hour
