A full time Farm manager required for one of our free range poultry farms based nr Thirsk. You’ll be helping to care of our free range hens, making sure they have everything they need to produce the top-grade eggs that we pride ourselves on, and ensuring that the eggs are packed and stacked correctly, and recorded accurately.
The Farm Manager role will require you to oversee the production of free-range eggs at our North Yorkshire-based laying farms. The Farm Manager will undertake a variety of roles including:
- Ensuring hen welfare of our hens, attending to basic needs, including feed, water, ventilation, and lighting
- Liaising with other departments re collection of eggs and delivery of packaging
- Training and supervision of farm staff
- Ensuring auditing documents completed accurately.
- Basic servicing and maintenance of machinery
- Adhering (and encouraging others to adhere) to strict biosecurity protocols.
- Monitoring the performance of the flocks and working with the production director to improve performance.
- Attending regular meetings with other senior team members and completing any required actions
- Someone proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
- A responsible and trustworthy individual who is dedicated and punctual.
- A good leader and role model, able to communicate accurately in written and verbal English.
- A minimum of 2 years previous experience is desirable but on essential.
- Ideally someone with the ability to drive farm vehicles such as tractor and forklifts

- Working hours are negotiable circa 45 hrs a week, however we are looking for someone with a flexible approach and an appreciation of the business needs.
- Weekend work will be required on a rota basis.
