Job Description:
We are looking for a dependable and thorough cleaner to maintain communal areas within a multi-tenanted block of flats, as well as carry out cleaning of empty (void) properties in preparation for new tenants. This role is essential in ensuring both shared spaces and vacant units are kept to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintaining communal areas including hallways, stairwells, lifts, and entrance lobbies
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors
- Dusting surfaces, skirting boards, handrails, and fixtures
- Cleaning internal windows and glass panels
- Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
Void Property Cleaning Duties:
- Deep cleaning of empty flats, including kitchens and bathrooms
- Cleaning inside cupboards, appliances (where applicable), and surfaces
- Removing leftover debris or rubbish from previous tenants
- Vacuuming and mopping all floors
- Ensuring properties are clean, hygienic, and ready for inspection or new occupancy
Additional Responsibilities:
- Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience preferred (especially in residential or void properties)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
