Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
- Serve a variety of beverages and food items in accordance with company standards and food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using the POS system, providing correct change and receipts.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a tidy environment at all times.
- Engage with customers to enhance their experience, addressing any special requests or concerns professionally.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for staff and patrons.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or as a server/barista is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Familiarity with serving techniques, including handling drinks and food orders efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
