Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines according to detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and Mastercam models to program machining operations.
- Adjust machine parameters, tools, and fixtures to optimize performance and precision.
- Perform routine inspections using hand tools, measuring devices, and basic math skills to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper handling of power tools.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in milling.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and CAD software such as Mastercam or similar programs.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments during machining.
- Familiarity with CNC programming fundamentals and troubleshooting machine issues.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining quality standards.
