Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Worker to provide specialised assistance to children with complex needs. The successful candidate will work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and educational teams to deliver personalised care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Duties
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the child's physical and emotional needs are met effectively.
- Assist children with daily activities such as dressing, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene.
- Support children during educational activities, outings, and social interactions to promote development and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, observations, and any changes in the child's condition.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and educational staff to review and update care plans regularly.
- Drive children to appointments, school, or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to care delivery.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols whilst maintaining a clean and organised environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a care or support setting is highly desirable.
- A full UK Driving Licence is mandatory (essential).
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or an equivalent qualification is essential.
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely are essential.
- Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles.
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassionate nature with patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's wellbeing.

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
