About us
We're a small, growing technology group. We build and run Kedeia, a software platform used by funeral directors, and we provide IT and cloud services to a range of business clients. It means genuinely varied work — one day you're helping a customer get the most out of our software, the next you're setting up a laptop or installing kit on a client site.
Because we're small, you won't be stuck in a ticket queue doing the same three things all day. You'll see jobs end to end, work directly with customers, and learn fast across software, hardware, and cloud. We'll invest in you — funded certifications and real responsibility — and you'll have a direct hand in how things are done.
What you'll be doing
- Being the first point of contact for customers and clients — by phone, email and ticket — and making sure they feel looked after
- Helping customers use our software: answering questions, walking them through features, resolving day-to-day issues
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and general IT problems
- Setting up and configuring laptops, PCs and mobile devices
- Basic network and infrastructure tasks — connecting and configuring routers/firewalls, checking connectivity (we'll train you)
- Managing user accounts in Microsoft 365 (creating users, resetting passwords, assigning licences)
- Keeping clear notes and documentation of what you've done
- Escalating the trickier problems, with a proper handover, and learning from how they're solved
What we're looking for (Essential)
- A genuine interest in IT and technology, and evidence you teach yourself — whether that's a home lab, building PCs, fixing family kit, tinkering with a Raspberry Pi, or a self-driven qualification
- A calm, friendly, patient manner with customers — you can explain a technical thing to a non-technical person without making them feel silly
- Comfortable with Windows, Microsoft 365, and everyday hardware
- Well-organised, writes things down, and follows a process
- Honest about what you don't know — happy to say "I'll find out" rather than guess
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to have (but we'll teach you)
- Any experience in an IT support, helpdesk or customer service role
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 / Entra ID administration
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft MS-900/AZ-900, or similar
- Full UK driving licence (useful if there's site work — see note below)
What matters most: the right attitude. If you're technically curious, great with people, and want to learn, we'll build the rest with you.
Why work with us
- Variety — software, hardware, cloud and customer work, not one narrow lane
- Ownership — see jobs through from start to finish and make a real difference in a small team
- Growth — funded certifications and genuine progression as we grow
- Sensible location — Beckton, DLR-served, an easy commute from East London and Essex without the trek into the City
- A team that backs you — you'll learn directly from experienced people who do a bit of everything
