Quality Manager (RGN)
Location: Watford, London/Hertfordshire
Salary: £60,000–£80,000 per annum
The Opportunity
Aiyara Partners is delighted to be partnering with a premium, fast-growing care provider in the appointment of a Quality Manager.
This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Peripatetic Deputy Manager, Clinical Deputy Manager or operational leader who has developed a real passion for quality and is looking to take the next step into a dedicated quality position.
The organisation operates at the premium end of the elderly care market and has ambitious plans to grow its portfolio over the coming years. Central to that growth is a commitment to quality excellence across the group, ensuring every home delivers exceptional care, strong clinical governance and consistently high regulatory standards.
Reporting directly into the Director of Quality, you'll work closely with Home Managers, Deputies and Operational Leaders across the portfolio, helping services identify areas for improvement, strengthen clinical practice and embed sustainable standards.
This is far more than an audit role. The business is looking for someone who understands the realities of operating within care homes – someone who can get alongside teams, coach and support them, identify risk and ultimately help services become better.
For the right individual, this represents an excellent opportunity to move from a peripatetic or operational position into a dedicated quality role and develop alongside a growing organisation.
The Role
Working across the portfolio, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Home Managers and clinical teams to drive consistently high standards of care.
- Conducting quality, governance and regulatory audits across care homes.
- Supporting services before, during and following CQC inspections.
- Reviewing clinical practice, care planning, medicines management, infection prevention and governance processes.
- Identifying areas of risk and working collaboratively with services to develop practical improvement plans.
- Coaching and developing Home Managers, Deputy Managers and clinical teams.
- Supporting homes through periods of improvement or turnaround where required.
- Monitoring compliance against CQC Fundamental Standards and internal quality frameworks.
- Sharing best practice across the portfolio and helping create a culture of continuous improvement.
- Supporting wider quality and clinical initiatives as the organisation continues to grow.
About You
We're particularly interested in speaking with experienced Peripatetic Deputy Managers and Clinical Deputy Managers who have a strong clinical background and are passionate about quality improvement.
You don't necessarily need to have held a dedicated Quality Manager position previously.
What is more important is that you understand what excellent care looks like, have experience supporting different services and teams, and have the confidence to challenge, coach and influence others to improve.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
- Experience as a Peripatetic Deputy Manager, Clinical Deputy Manager, Quality Manager or in a similar multi-site clinical/operational role within elderly care.
- A genuine passion for quality, compliance and improving resident outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance.
- Experience auditing services and identifying areas for improvement.
- Strong understanding of care planning, medicines management, safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical risk.
- The ability to coach and support Home Managers, Deputies and clinical teams rather than simply identify where things are going wrong.
- Confidence working across multiple services and adapting your approach to different teams and environments.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach and willingness to travel across the portfolio.
