We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal Catering Operations Manager to lead and oversee catering services across schools and corporate facilities at Rotherham Council. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the health and wellbeing of children and young people by ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals are delivered every day.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate catering operations across multiple school sites and corporate facilities.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and nutritional standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop catering teams to deliver excellent service.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and drive efficiency without compromising quality.
- Work closely with schools and stakeholders to meet service expectations and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Implement innovative menus and initiatives to promote healthy eating.
About You

Proven experience in managing catering operations, ideally within education or large-scale settings.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and allergen management.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management.
- Ability to build positive relationships with schools, suppliers, and staff.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
