LEW Electrical Distributors are a leading independent electrical wholesaler with a 30 year history servicing the electrical trade and the public across the UK. Our Branches are located throughout Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and the North-West.
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our organisation as a Trade Supplier Apprentice.
Summary of the Trade Supplier Apprenticeship Role
This apprenticeship programme will last around 12 months and has the potential of career progression into warehouse, trade counter and even sales account manager roles. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual who would like to start a career in the Electrical Wholesale sector.
The successful candidate will gain industry-specific knowledge and skills and will attain an industry-recognised Level 2 electrical wholesale trade supplier qualification.
In addition, you will gain valuable experience in various aspects of the branch’s daily trade counter and warehouse functions.
What will it involve doing?
- Serving on the trade counter, assisting customers with product sales and knowledge
- Accurately picking orders from the warehouse
- Receiving goods and accurately entering them onto the computer system
- Correctly storing received goods
- Replenishing, picking, loading and dispatching goods to meet deadlines
- Notify suppliers of short deliveries or damages
- General housekeeping duties for both the warehouse and trade counter
- Report any health & safety issues to the systems manager
- Marketing and merchandising the trade counter
- Processing customer sales orders over the counter and taking cash/ card payments
- Cashing up at the end of the day
- Keeping the counter fully stocked at all times
- Over-the-counter quotations
- Any other duties as required
