This role will lead the end-to-end talent acquisition process, from attraction and sourcing through to offer management and onboarding. Partnering closely with hiring managers, you will deliver both high-volume and specialist recruitment, while championing diversity, inclusion, and a people-first approach.
Collaborating with stakeholders across the business, you will act as a trusted partner, understanding hiring needs, shaping recruitment strategies, and ensuring we attract and retain top talent. You will leverage market insights and data to continuously improve hiring outcomes, while enhancing employer branding and candidate engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing
We are looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and engaging coaches to support our Academy Recruitment Department through the delivery of Middleton, Breakthrough, and Pre-Academy sessions.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the identification and development of young players aged 7–14, working within Leeds United's player pathway while helping create positive experiences for players and families.
Working closely with the Head of Local Recruitment and Pre-Academy Manager, you will support talent identification activity, deliver high-quality coaching sessions, and contribute to the recruitment and development of future Academy players.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver fun, engaging, and developmental coaching sessions tailored to the needs of players aged 7–14.
Support the assessment and identification of talented young players from grassroots football, schools, and private academies.
Assist with the delivery of Development Centre sessions aligned with Leeds United Academy principles.
Build positive relationships with players, parents, and guardians.
Contribute to player identification and recruitment processes.
Produce player reports and feedback when required.
Develop and maintain knowledge of current Leeds United Academy players and recruitment targets.
Support departmental projects and recruitment initiatives.
Attend staff meetings, CPD events, and training opportunities as directed.
Promote Leeds United's values and create a professional, welcoming environment for all participants.
Ensure all activity is delivered in line with safeguarding, welfare, equality, and health & safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
FA Level 2 Talent Identification qualification.
Enhanced DBS clearance.
Safeguarding certification.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Excellent observation and player assessment skills.
Understanding of local grassroots football and player development pathways.
Ability to use technology to support talent identification processes.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Experience
Experience coaching within grassroots football.
Experience identifying and developing young football players.
Experience working with players aged 7–14.
Experience observing and assessing player performance.
Experience producing player reports or development feedback.
Experience working collaboratively within a coaching or recruitment team.
