The Compliance Monitoring Apprentice will support the Compliance team in ensuring the organisation maintains compliance with EASA Part-145, UK CAA Part-145, company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable aviation regulations.
Working under the guidance of experienced compliance professionals, the apprentice will gain practical experience in auditing, regulatory compliance, investigation support, and continuous improvement activities within a regulated aircraft maintenance environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical knowledge of aviation regulations while building a career in compliance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Monitoring Support
- Assist in the planning, preparation and administration of internal compliance activities, including travel and logistics administration.
- Support the conduct of audits within maintenance, stores, workshops and supporting departments.
- Record audit findings, observations and opportunities for improvement accurately.
- Monitor the status of corrective actions and follow-up activities.
- Assist in maintaining the annual audit programme and audit schedules.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Develop an understanding of EASA Part-145, UK Part-145, Part-M, Part-66 and other applicable aviation regulations.
- Support the review and monitoring of regulatory changes and their impact on company processes.
- Assist in ensuring company procedures remain aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Help maintain compliance records and regulatory documentation.
Documentation and Record Management:
- Maintain compliance monitoring databases and tracking systems.
- Assist with controlled document reviews and revisions.
- Ensure quality records are accurately filed and retained in accordance with company requirements.
- Support preparation of reports, presentations and compliance metrics.
Investigation and Corrective Action Support:
- Support investigations into quality events, audit findings and occurrences.
- Assist in root cause analysis activities.
- Help track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Monitor effectiveness reviews and corrective action implementation.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in compliance & standards improvement projects.
- Support the collection and analysis of compliance monitoring data.
- Assist in identifying trends and recurring issues.
- Contribute to the development of improved processes and procedures.
Training and Development:
- Complete all apprenticeship training requirements and assignments.
- Attend regulatory, compliance and company training as required.
- Build knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and aviation safety systems.
- Work towards becoming a competent compliance monitoring professional.
