Learning Support Assistant – Gravesend
Location: Gravesend, Kent
Pay:£82.62 per day + Holiday pay paid weekly
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Full-time, temporary and term-time only
TalentED is working with a warm and welcoming specialist SEND school in Gravesend that is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join its supportive team.
The school supports pupils aged 4–19 with profound, severe and complex learning needs. Many pupils also have autism, speech, language and communication needs, communication and interaction difficulties, or complex medical conditions.

You will be joining a dedicated, multidisciplinary team that works together to help every pupil feel safe, included and supported to reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and personal development
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Helping pupils engage with classroom activities and adapted learning plans
- Supporting pupils with communication, sensory or physical needs
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
- Have previously worked in education, care, healthcare or a similar support role
- Hold a relevant qualification, such as a teaching, care, medical, counselling or manual-handling qualification
- Are patient, compassionate, reliable and confident working as part of a team
- Have a genuine passion for education and want to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life
Relevant experience can come from a range of backgrounds. Whether you have worked in a school, care setting, healthcare environment or supported someone with additional needs personally, we would be interested in speaking with you.
