Pharmacy Dispenser / Pharmacy Technician
Location: Gibbs & Gurnell Pharmacy, Ryde
Hours: 24–40 hours per week
Working pattern: Agreed hours across Monday to Saturday
Pay: £12.71–£14.50 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience and demonstrated ability
Performance bonus: Up to 12% additional monthly pay
Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year

About the Role

Previous pharmacy experience is an advantage but is not essential for dispenser applicants. Training may be provided to an exceptional candidate with a good standard of education, strong literacy and numeracy skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Main Duties
- Prepare and assemble prescriptions accurately.
- Manage collections, owing medicines and stock.
- Assist patients in person and by telephone.
- Maintain accurate records and patient confidentiality.
- Follow pharmacy procedures and support an efficient dispensary.
- Undertake checking and pharmacy services appropriate to your competence.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be accurate, dependable, professional and able to communicate and work effectively within a busy team.
Pharmacy Technician applicants must hold an appropriate qualification and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Eligible employees will receive training and support to complete Gibbs & Gurnell’s internal checking programme within 12 months of starting.
