Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Class 2 Driver at our depot located at our Coventry Depot.
In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 commercial vehicle to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, especially with flatbed loads, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong delivery driver experience and a commitment to professionalism, supporting our mission to provide exceptional service to our clients.
Hours: 5am to 6am starts Monday to Friday
Pay: £16.88ph
Tax free pay per week £60 per week
Duties
- Operate a Class 2 commercial vehicle with precision and adherence to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Load, secure, and unload flatbed cargo ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimize efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies during all operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed loads
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving practices and safety standards
- Ability to handle physical demands associated with loading and unloading cargo
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local and regional routes
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
