Job Summary
We are seeking both newly qualified annd experienced MIG welders to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing their own weld bay and work to a high standard. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise in a busy and dynamic environment, contributing to high-quality production standards. Candidates should possess good mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with hand tools and power tools.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components, including Exhausts, tube sections and plate.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during production.
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints and finished products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding is essential; familiarity with TIG welding is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of hand tools, power tools.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings is an advantage.
- Experience working with assembly processes and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn. Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour
