Salary: £38,000 pro rata

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated
Therapist – Children & Young People to support four residential children's services across the Ipswich area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to improving outcomes for young people who have experienced trauma, adversity, and complex emotional challenges.
Working two days per week, you will play a key role in providing therapeutic support, consultation, and guidance to young people and residential care teams, helping to create therapeutic environments where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic assessments and interventions for children and young people.
- Provide direct support tailored to individual needs and care plans.
- Work collaboratively with residential staff to promote therapeutic practice.
- Offer consultation, advice, and reflective support to care teams.
- Contribute to the development of trauma-informed approaches across all four services.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Liaise with external professionals, families, and stakeholders where appropriate.
About You
- Relevant therapeutic qualification (e.g., Psychotherapy, Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Play Therapy, Occupational Therapy or equivalent).
- Registration with a recognised professional body where applicable.
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally within residential, education, CAMHS, or social care settings.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and attachment-based approaches.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple services.
