Job Summary
Core Objective
Working with a team of skilled electro/mechanical engineers, fitters and wiremen you will be an integral member of the team that assembles complete measurement machines from component level to finished product
The job holder is expected to uphold Company values, support high standards of quality, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
Essential Job Functions
· Bench Fitting and Mechanical Assembly using various techniques
· Carry out minor adjustments to mechanical components using lathes, milling machines and surface grinders
· Confirm that assembled components are within expected geometric tolerances: using first principal measurement techniques i.e. using DTI’s and Gauge Blocks
· Carry out Electrical & Mechanical fault finding
· Reading and working to Detail/General Assembly Engineering drawings
· Reading and working to Electrical/Electronic assembly drawings
· Knowledge of Stepper Motors, Control Systems, Sensors and BUS systems would be advantageous
· Fault finding on DC control systems
· Experience in electrical panel wiring would be advantageous
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
· Min Level 3 Engineering or time served. HNC desirable
· Competent in Pneumatic systems assembly/interpretation of pneumatic schematics
· Experience in electrical panel wiring would be advantageous

Physical Requirements
Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking, hearing/listening, repetitive hand movement, grasping, and reaching. Vision requirements include the ability for close vision, to adjust focus, and to colour code.
