As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead our venue, support our team, and deliver outstanding guest experiences.

About the Role
As Assistant General Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the venue. You'll be responsible for leading shifts, motivating the team, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring the venue operates efficiently and profitably.
You'll play a key role in developing our people, driving sales, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the venue.
- Lead and inspire the front-of-house team during busy service periods.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop staff to maintain high performance.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve guest issues professionally.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and end-of-day reporting.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimise wastage.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
- Work closely with the events team to deliver seamless private events and live entertainment.
- Manage labour costs through effective rota planning and scheduling.
- Drive sales through excellent service, upselling, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and venue maintenance.
- Step into the General Manager's role when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or Supervisor in a busy bar, pub, or hospitality venue.
- A confident leader who enjoys motivating and developing teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of licensing legislation and health & safety requirements.
- Experience managing stock, cash, and labour budgets is desirable.
- A hands-on approach with a willingness to lead by example.
- Passion for hospitality, events, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts.
