Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, nap times, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour, communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
- Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort and reassurance as needed.
- Assist in organising daily routines and special events within the nursery setting.
- Contribute to the organisation of the nursery environment to ensure it remains clean, safe, and stimulating.
- Occasionally support with administrative tasks related to childcare management.
- Drive company vehicles when required for nursery outings or errands.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee children’s activities and support team members.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children.
- Experience with managing groups of children and leading activities effectively.

Pay: £26,437.00-£28,080.00 per year
