Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role as a Registered Care Manager located in the Bridgend area. In your new role, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and overseeing the day-to-day running of our 4 bedded Children's home supporting Children & Young People with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties. This includes maintaining a high standard of care, ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to, and upholding CIW regulations. You will work closely with children, their families, and other professionals to provide a nurturing, safe environment for our children.
Requirement’s to be a Registered Care Manager:
Essentials
· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services, or working todays it. For equivalent qualifications please refer to Social Care Wales Website www. socialcare.wales/qualifications-funding/qualification-framework
· Minimum four years’ experience of supervising and managing staff.
· To have experience of working within a residential setting.
· Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
· Passion for helping children and young people achieve their potential and ability to lead and motivate a team.
· Understanding of safeguarding and child protection process and experience of working to the Wales Safeguarding procedures.
· A valid UK driving license (manual) and access to a vehicle.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Good knowledge of relevant statutory requirements.
· Attend review and care planning meetings
· Complete mandatory training.
· Be committed in promoting anti-discriminatory practise and setting good examples of practice within the workplace
Desirable
· Registered with Social Care Wales or must register within initial 6 months in residential care
· Experience of working with children
· Experience of residential childcare
· Welsh Speaker
