We are looking for a Mixer to join our Production Team at Fountain Frozen.
As a Mixer, you will play an important role in ensuring our production lines operate safely, efficiently and to the required product specification. You will be responsible for monitoring the production process, raw materials, equipment and product quality throughout your shift, while ensuring that all relevant food safety, hygiene, quality and Health & Safety requirements are followed.
This is a hands-on production role that requires someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, organised and has good attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mixer, your responsibilities will include:
· Operating and monitoring the production line safely and efficiently.
· Carrying out line and equipment checks in accordance with company procedures.
· Ensuring the correct ingredients, quantities, recipes and product specifications are used.
· Monitoring raw material quality and reporting any issues promptly.
· Monitoring CPM and line speeds within authorised requirements.
· Ensuring production paperwork and quality checks are completed accurately.
· Monitoring cutter condition and reporting damaged or defective equipment.
· Communicating effectively with the Production Team Leader, Technical, Engineering and Pack Hall teams.
· Reporting production, maintenance, quality and food safety issues promptly.
· Ensuring ingredients and work-in-progress remain correctly identified and traceable.
· Following HACCP, allergen, foreign body and food safety controls applicable to the role.
· Identifying and escalating out-of-specification product or process results.
· Supporting cleaning, changeovers and line clearance in accordance with procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
· Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, hygiene and workplace safety.
· Wearing the correct PPE and challenging unsafe behaviours where appropriate.
· Participating in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and waste reduction.
· Completing all required training, toolbox talks and competency assessments.
· Working effectively as part of the wider Production Team.

Desirable Experience
Previous experience in food manufacturing, production or operating mixing/production machinery would be advantageous.
Knowledge or experience of HACCP, allergen controls and food safety procedures would also be beneficial, although full training will be provided where required.
