About Us : Travel Co are small family run business based in Knowsley that provide passenger transport for adults with additional needs and abilities. We have been operating for over 15 years across the North West supporting several different local authorities with their transport requirements.
The Job : We're looking for qualified PSV drivers to transport adults with additional needs and abilities between locations across the Knowsley area. You will build up strong working relationships with those travelling onboard and ensure they travel in a safe, positive environment. Some passengers will travel in wheelchairs or with walking aids, meaning vehicle lifting equipment is used to help them onboard. Full training on how to use the equipment safely is provided. Hours are consistent every week with no late nights or weekend work required.
Locations : Kirkby, Prescot, Huyton and Halewood.
Working Hours : Contracted, part-time (20 Hours p/w) with the option of regular over time and full time positions.
- Core working hours = MON-FRI approx. 08:30am>10:30am & 2:30pm>4:30pm
- Over time/full time = Additional hours in-between core hours for transporting the passengers to organised activities. Driver may or may not be required to stay on site for the duration but are paid if required to do so.
Not all routes offer over time/full time. Please make clear when applying which hours you are interested in.
Transport is provided throughout the year, meaning non-operating days are Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Pay : Part time employment starting at £14 p/h. Benefits include;

About You :
Essential –
- D / D1 Licence – Qualified PSV Driver
- Valid CPC
- Experience of driving passenger vehicles
- Valid licence and willing to undergo regular Driving Licence checks
- Willing to complete Enhanced DBS checks
- Willing to undergo additional training
- Reliability and Consistency in the role
- Kind and patient nature
- Able to provide proof of Right to work in the UK (passport etc)
Desirable –
- Safeguarding, MiDAS or PATs qualification/experience
- Experience in transporting passengers with additional needs and abilities
- Good knowledge of the Knowsley road networks
