Senior Fabricator / Team Leader
Location: Cheshire
Hours: Monday to Friday - 6am -2pm
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Position: Full-time
X2 Recruit, acting as a recruitment business, are looking for an experienced and reliable Senior Fabricator / Team Leader to join our up and coming client in Cheshire.
This is a hands-on role for someone with strong fabrication experience who can also take responsibility for leading a small team, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of fabricators on a day-to-day basis
- Read and understand engineering drawings and fabrication plans
- Carry out MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication work
- Measure, cut, drill, assemble and finish components accurately
- Ensure work is completed to the required quality and specification
- Allocate tasks and help organise the team's workload
- Check completed work and identify any issues before it leaves the workshop
- Support and train less experienced members of the team
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Ensure company health & safety procedures are followed
- Liaise with management regarding workloads, deadlines and any problems
- Help ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
The Ideal Candidate

- Experienced in fabrication and welding

- Able to read and work from technical drawings
- Quality-focused with good attention to detail
- Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines
