Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Primary & SEN Settings
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools and specialist settings. These roles may include general classroom support or 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, depending on your experience and preferences.
Pay: £14.50 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils across a variety of settings.
- Deliver 1:1 or small group support, including working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as ASD, behavioural needs, or learning difficulties.
- Follow school-led strategies and intervention plans to support learning and development.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation.
- Support pupils during lessons as well as unstructured times such as break and lunchtime.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children in educational or care settings (school-based experience desirable).
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a proactive attitude.

Safeguarding Requirements
All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one) and be registered on the DBS Update Service. Candidates will be required to provide a minimum of five years’ references and successfully pass all safeguarding checks.
