Join the team behind Southbank Centre’s busiest and most iconic bars. We’re looking for a Bar Supervisor who can lead by example, support smooth day-to-day operations, and help deliver great hospitality during some of London’s biggest cultural events.
This role is perfect for someone confident on the floor who’s ready to take the next step into leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Bar Manager and Deputy Manager in running smooth, efficient shifts.
- Leading the team on the floor: setting the pace, maintaining standards, and supporting staff throughout service.
- Opening and closing the bar, including till checks and basic operational procedures.
- Training new starters and helping develop the wider team.
- Ensuring excellent guest service across L5, L6, and occasionally other bars depending on rotation.
- Supporting cocktail service on L5 and premium table service in L6 members’ lounge.
- Handling minor guest issues confidently and escalating when needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness, stock levels, and presentation standards.
What We’re Looking For
- A people-focused, energetic supervisor who leads from the front.
- Confident communicator who can motivate the team and keep service running smoothly.
- Experience as a strong bar team member or existing supervisor.
- Calm under pressure and able to adapt quickly during busy show times.
- Someone who cares about standards, guest experience, and supporting their team.
- Cocktail knowledge is a bonus, but training will be provided.
Role Details
- Full-time, 5 days per week.
- Hourly rate: £15.20.
- Reports to the Bar Manager and Deputy Bar Manager.
- Based primarily at L5 and L6, with occasional support across other bars.
