Car & PSV Mechanic – 21 Transport Ltd (Snaith)
Salary: £18-£19ph
Location: Snaith, East Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time, permanent
21 Transport Ltd is a family-run transport company based in Snaith, operating a fleet of taxis, buses and coaches. We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Car & PSV Mechanic to join our growing team, you must be available at short notice for call outs for breakdowns, including early starts and late finishes depending on the jobs, also weekend availability is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained to DVSA and company safety standards.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and periodic safety inspections.
- Keep accurate service and repair records.
- Work closely with the operations team to minimise downtime.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Car, Bus, Coach, or HGV Mechanic.
- Level 3 qualification in Car or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) preferred.
- Good understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own tools would be great, but not essential.
