Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Removals & Events Porter to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves assisting with the transportation and organisation of items for removals and events, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling goods, supporting logistics, and maintaining safety standards throughout all activities.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods, furniture, and equipment for removals and events
- Safely manoeuvring items using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment
- Supporting the organisation and setup of event spaces or removal sites
- Communicating effectively with team members and clients to coordinate activities
- Ensuring all items are transported securely and safely to prevent damage
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas during shifts
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Requirements
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Reliable, punctual, and organised with a professional attitude
- Ability to work flexibly on a part-time basis, including weekends if required
