Roots Cafe is looking to add to their kitchen team as our summer staff leave for University.
We make all of our cakes and bakes in house, as well as preparing creative and innovative vegetarian food in a relaxed atmosphere.
The job role consists of shifts either in the day (from 7am to 4pm) and the occasional evening shift (3pm-10pm)
As a Cafe Chef / Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals and baked goods while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilise your culinary expertise and kitchen experience to prepare and present a variety of dishes. Good time management and communications skills are essential, as we are a small team working in a small space.
We develop all our own recipes, and the Head Chef is eager for a creative candidate who will have an opportunity to be creative in their role, with opportunity to design specials, cakes and menu items.
Experience working in a kitchen is advantageous but not essential as our Head Chef is willing to provide full training to the right candidate.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 9.0 per week
