About the Role
We're looking for a Site Foreman / Assistant Site Manager to oversee the internal works on our project. This is a great opportunity for someone with some site experience already under their belt who's looking to step up, take on more responsibility, and develop into a fuller site management role.
You'll work closely with the Site Manager, supervising internal trades, keeping work on programme, and making sure standards, safety, and quality are maintained throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate internal works, including supervising subcontractors and trades on site
- Support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations and progress reporting
- Monitor work quality against specifications and drawings, flagging issues early
- Help keep internal works on programme, escalating delays or risks as needed
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed on site at all times
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings as required
- Liaise with trades, suppliers, and the wider site team to keep works running smoothly
- Maintain accurate site records, progress photos, and daily diaries
- Take on increasing responsibility over the course of the role, with support to develop towards an Assistant Site Manager / Site Manager pathway
What We're Looking For
- Some hands-on site experience already gained (e.g. as a trades supervisor, general operative progressing into supervision, or a junior foreman role)
- A genuine interest in progressing into site management, with the drive to learn
- Good communication skills and the confidence to direct trades and manage a room
- A practical, organised approach and the ability to problem-solve on the go
- Basic understanding of site health & safety requirements (SSSTS/SMSTS desirable, or willingness to work towards)
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
What We Offer
- A structured 12-month role with real scope to grow your responsibilities
- Mentoring and support from an experienced Site Manager
- Hands-on experience across all stages of internal works delivery
