We are looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our User Centred Design team at North Lincolnshire Council.
User Researchers plan, design and deliver research that builds a deep understanding of users, their needs and behaviours. Your research will contribute to the design of better services for residents and staff.
The role is hybrid, with some time each week at our Church Square House offices in Scunthorpe, some working from home and some out in the community, depending on project needs.
About you
The role is a great opportunity for someone with 2-3 years experience working in a User Research position, looking to take more of a lead. As the only user researcher in a small team, you will be comfortable guiding the approach to research, setting standards and advocating for user research as an essential part of evidence based decision making and the design process.
You will help develop the profession further within the organisation, in addition to the day-to-day work of:
- using a range of research methods to learn about user needs
- managing the recruitment of both current and potential users of the service as participants
- applying different techniques for the analysis of research data and synthesis of findings
- explaining user insights to stakeholders to build understanding and consensus
- ensuring that ethics and consent processes are followed
