Town and Country Covers is a vehicle seat cover manufacturer and distributor based in Hampshire, United Kingdom. Our seat covers are distributed throughout a vast network of automotive and agricultural dealers, as well as online sellers. We are also the UK distributor for the Australian dog-accessory brand, EzyDog. We are a successful, growing business looking for a new Warehouse Assistant. The ideal candidate would be self-motivating within a relaxed and informal environment.
We are looking for someone who can be both confident and conscientious, with a good work ethic and can-do attitude. You would become part of a friendly and dynamic team based in Hilsea, Portsmouth, working across two great brands - our own seat covers and the EzyDog range. Our normal hours are 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break each day (37.5 work hours per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Picking & packing orders
- Unloading & checking in deliveries
- Stock checks
- Restocking picking bays
- General warehouse admin
- General warehouse maintenance (sweeping, tidying etc.)
- Manual handling and lifting involved (up to approx. 20kg) - full training given
- Uphold housekeeping to maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including safe manual handling and correct use of PPE when required
Position Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and desire to do things well
- A good work discipline to manage individual & team workload
- Comfortable in a physical role
- Pedestrian-operated forklift certification desirable (if not certified, full training will be provided)
- Comfortable using a computer - you'll be using our inventory management software day to day, plus basic office apps like Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Full UK driving licence an advantage but not essential
