Industria Personnel Services Ltd are currently recruiting for reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join one of our established clients based in Leicester.
Our client is a leading variety retailer with stores nationwide, supplying customers across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for professional drivers to join their transport operation on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with the opportunity for the right candidates to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering goods to stores across the UK
- Completing approximately 2–3 deliveries per day
- Unloading cages and pallets at store locations
- Loading empty cages for return
- Driving single trailers and Double Deck trailers
- Completing vehicle and delivery checks as required
- Providing a professional and reliable service to customers and stores
- Occasional nights out may be required
- Typical shifts are approximately 10–12 hours
Pay Rates – PAYE Only
- Monday to Friday: £19.00 per hour
- Saturday £19.50 per hour
- Sunday £21.00 per hour
- Night Out Allowance: £25.00 per night
Temp to Perm Opportunity
This is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. Successful drivers will have the chance to move onto a permanent contract with the client following a satisfactory temporary period and meeting the required standards.
Driver Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A valid UK C+E / Class 1 driving licence
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years' experience driving vehicles under the C+E entitlement
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence
- No DD, DR, CD, TT or IN endorsements
- Good verbal and telephone communication skills
- A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work
