Overview
We are looking for a cook / kitchen manager to join our team. All you need is a love of cooking and a lot of enthusiasm! All training can be provided or an apprenticeship arranged if necessary. This is a rewarding and fun position and we look forward to receiving your application. We are well established and love to support the community, please chat to us if you have an queries as this may well be your dream job. We are happy to discuss hours and arrangements, but we are a day care nursery and open all year, we do not shut for school holidays.
Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen paperwork and coordinate food preparation activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Oversee meal preparation and presentation
- Develop and update menu items in collaboration with the nursery manager
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
-Oversee allergen control and child allergy control systems
Full training can be provided but a knowledge of the Safer Foods Better Business system is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen management
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Good communication and team work
-An interest in supporting child development and nutrition

Pay: £10.85-£12.91 per hour
