Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Handy person or Maintenance professional to join help maintain our two nurseries . This role is vital in ensuring our nursery environment remains safe, functional, and welcoming for both staff and children. If you have a knack for maintenance and enjoy supporting a nurturing educational setting, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs within the nursery premises to ensure safety and functionality.
- Have a great attention to detail and a creative eye!
- Assist with the installation of equipment and upgrades.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and supplies.
- Collaborate with staff to address any facility-related concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the team by providing timely solutions to maintenance issues.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in general repairs and maintenance including carpentry, building and plumbing knowledge.
- Experience of working in an educational or care settings preferable.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Have flexibility around working hours.
- Customer service orientation is beneficial for interacting with staff.
- An enhanced DBS will be required (which we can arrange)
