Due to the boom in the UK commercial solar market we re growing and looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Energy Solutions team. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow our business by securing new customers, selling additional services to existing customers and cross selling to other departments.
Your role will be to oversee the end-to-end sales process for bespoke solar and other green energy solution systems for SME businesses. You must have a proven track record in delivering excellent customer service, as well as achieving individual and team targets.
A sound knowledge on the design aspect of solar is essential, in order to offer our customers different configuration options.
The candidate should be in the Northeast / Northwest of England to cover the current scope we offer as a business.
Responsibilities

New business development (direct sales) of B2B Solar & green energy solutions

Manage and grow your own portfolio of clients

Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

To assess the customer requirements and provide the best suited solution

To promote carbon neutral solutions and the benefits to the client

To ensure that personal sales targets are met

Ensure that customers always have a positive experience with the company

Liaise with the design and installation team to ensure customer expectations are met

To identify and take part in exhibitions and other marketing events Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines

Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.

Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople
Requirements

Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role

Proven sales track record

Experience in customer support is a plus

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field

Our Green Energy Solutions department is set up to best support the Sales team by managing post-sale administration and keeping the Sales Team doing what they do best; helping customer save time, money, and carbon through our range of services. Although you will be expected to generate your own leads, Go Low Carbon will also be generating leads from our network of partners, digital marketing and attending networking exhibitions
Package:
Reporting to: Directors
OTE earnings: £80,000 per annum
Location: The successful candidate will work alongside the Energy Solutions team at our head office in Carlisle
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (9am – 5pm)
Holidays: 28 days paid annual holiday, inclusive of bank holidays
