Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating innovative menus that reflect our commitment to quality and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Develop and implement creative menus that cater to diverse tastes while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to guests.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing teams effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Previous experience in menu development and cost control is highly desirable.
