Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. The role involves physical tasks such as heavy lifting and load/unload operations, requiring attention to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment
- Managing stock levels using Warehouse Management Systems
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch with accuracy and attention to detail
- Stocking shelves and ensuring inventory is organised and accessible
- Conducting quality control checks on goods to maintain high standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all necessary equipment and systems
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and forklift operation is advantageous
- Experience in shipping & receiving, picking & packing, stocking, or quality control roles is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and safety awareness
- Full and clean driving license is essential
