Restaurant Supervisor – Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and consistently high service standards.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, sound decision-making, and a hands-on approach to daily restaurant operations.
- Support the recruitment, training, coaching, and development of team members to maximise performance and engagement.
- Ensure smooth and efficient service, maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and hospitality at all times.
- Monitor staff performance, provide regular feedback, and assist in achieving departmental targets.
- Maintain excellent communication between the restaurant, kitchen, and other departments across the estate.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, licensing, and company policies.
- Manage guest feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist with staffing rotas, stock control, and operational administration as required.
- Lead by example, creating a positive and professional working environment that reflects the values of the estate.
Restaurant Supervisor – Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Strong working knowledge of hospitality systems, including Opera, Micros, ResDiary, or similar platforms.
- Proven understanding of food safety management systems and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in staff supervision, training, coaching, and development.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through effective leadership and team engagement.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated to go above and beyond for guests and colleagues.
- High standards of personal presentation, professionalism, and hygiene.
- A confident team player with the ability to inspire, support, and develop others.
